Lithuanian Reform Movement (LRM) is a social movement, which sought and implemented the restoration of Lithuanian statehood in 1990.

The beginning of the Movement is considered on 3 June 1988 when Sąjūdis Initiative Group was formed. The group composed of 35 members, mostly famous Lithuanian scientists and artists; 17 members of group were Communist party members. A special role was played by Sąjūdis printing, particularly by samizdat newspaper “Sąjūdžio žinios” (“Sąjūdis News”) (editor Arvydas Juozaitis).

At first the Movement declared objectives of rebirth, democracy and economic independence, cooperated with Lithuanian Communist Party (LCP). Since November 1988 the Movement took an independent political position, increasingly separated from Lithuanian Communist Party and on 16 February 1989 publicly declared that the main goal of the Movement is the restoration of the independent Republic of Lithuania.

On 11 March 1990 votes of Deputies of the Movement determined adoption of the Declaration of Independence and Lithuania regained its statehood.
