The unique creation of humans and nature, the Curonian Spit, which is located on the territory of two countries, Lithuania and Russia, has been on UNESCO’s World Heritage List since December 2000. To commemorate this occasion, memorial pyramids have been erected in Nida, at the beginning of Lotmiškio street, as well as in Juodkrantė. They are reminding of and obliging to protect and preserve the cultural landscape of the Curonian Spit.
