The metal Angel sculpture was built on the intersection between J. Janonio and Gintaro streets on 30 November 2016.
It was created during the traditional Four Winds international symposium, organised by the Lithuanian Blacksmith’s Association in summer 2015. The Angel sculpture was created by three dozens of masters of smithery from Lithuania, Latvia, Belarus, Czech Republic, Russia, Denmark and Canada. Each of them forged a feather to decorate the angel’s wings. Each feather is decorated with ethnic symbols of the participants’ countries.
The sculpture and its foundation are made of steel. The entire sculpture is coated with hot zinc to prevent corrosion. Then it was coated with a special primer and painted with appropriate paint. The height of the entire sculpture is 5.4 m. The metal sculpture weights more than one hundred kilograms.
