The Oginskis Park ir roughly 58 acres in size. A fence surrounds the park, providing only a few entrances into the historic area. The main gates of the Oginskis Park are designed in the pseudo-Renaissance style. Statues of 16th century soldiers in armour are located in the niches of the cornerstones of the gates.

Statues of bears are placed upon the pylons. Bears, considered a symbol of Samogitia, are facing each other and holding shields in their paws. Coats of arms are depicted on the shields. One is of the family of Duke M. Oginskis, while the other is of the family of his wife, the Count Skuževskis family. Only one coat of arms remains – the one belonging to the Oginskis family.

A small guardhouse stands next to the gates. When Oginskis was alive, a guard used to stand at the gate, opening or closing them and guarding the park. The former guardhouse houses the Plungė Tourism Information Centre.
