In 1990, a wooden cross was placed at the foot of the lookout point in the territory of the Kretinga Manor. It commemorates the oppression of the inhabitants of the Padvariai village (1940-1953).
The inhabitants of Padvariai collected over 1,000 Litas for the construction of the cross. The author of the cross is K. Jašmontas, a citizen of Padvariai. A. Navirauskas, also a Padvarian, organised the construction works.
